I have come to embrace and love our tree of only non-breakables; construction paper and glitter ornaments we crafted, laminated family photos Sophie made with Grandma, a couple dozen wood, metal or paper decorations that won't break when they come crashing down. In four or five more years we can dust of the glittery glass balls and hang them again. Wouldn't trade my kid-friendly tree for any other :)

Daycare Dilemas
Okay, so Sophie is almost three and I am debating weather or not to put her in a preschool program n two mornings a week. So far I have three options to consider:
1. The preschool with the Asst. Director I really like and nice classrooms but will stretch our
budget
2. Drop in preschool with nice facilities where you pay by the hour; drawback is it would only be on
occasion and not with any consistency
3. Daycare down the street with very few kids and run by a nice woman and her mom, but no educational
component
I have run into the catch 22 faced by millions of moms: In order to work you need your kid in daycare, and you need to work to keep your kid in daycare (plus pay other annoying bills....). Hmmm, search continues for the right balance of quality preschool facility and cost.

New Famly Blog to Stay in Touch
Dear Family & Friends,
With so many family members scattered to the winds across the country, I thought I'd give blogging a try as a means to stay in touch and also as a way to journal our family happenings. This will also be an outlet for my personal musings whether or not I have an audience. I think there is something theraputic about sending our thoughts out into the internet universe. I'm not into Tweeting and Facebook doesn't always let you say or share as much as one would like.
So, dear readers (if you exist), thank you in advance for your patience as I try my hand at blogging and take a trial and error approach to setting up this site. I hope you enjoy the journey as I share my triumphs and failures (yikes) as a parent to two adorable, yet challenging, kiddos.
Love and hugs,
Michelle
